Although the club has a number of girls who are playing with a number of mini and junior football age groups, we have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to create an environment for female football players to flourish and create football teams of their own.

Speaking of this new initiative to help promote the female game, Slade Green Knights' Chairman, Andre Squire said, "a female football team at our club is something I have been striving for and working hard with the committee to get into place for a while now. The Women's game rightly continues to grow in popularity, with stadiums around the world filling up with young fans wanting to watch their heroes play the game, and the England Lionesses winning the Euros in such inspiring fashion is something that will get the future generations interested even more. We at Slade Green Knights want to do our bit to help the Women's game to flourish, and help those who want to get into the game achieve their dreams and goals. By creating our own teams, we can increase the number of youngsters in our area get into female football and create memories and moments that will stay with these players for a long time."

The girls only training is aimed at those from the U7 - U12 age groups, however if you have someone at home who would be interested in playing, then bring them along to!
