It is a great pleasure to inform you all of the SGK 12's green winning the shield. The team were outstanding and thoroughly deserved the win. Well done to Scott, Kal and Ross on bringing the shield home. The first half was a closely contested 0-0 with AFC Green court having a goal ruled out for offside and rightly so. At the beginning of the second half SGK hit the cross bar which was harder to hit than the target itself and then you start to think is it going to be our day. SGK then take a 1-0 lead from a great team play and Tammy slots home from close range. The SGK faithful were ecstatic. Then from a great ball through the midfield Alfie managed to get a fantastic shot away from just outside of the box and it left the keeper for dust 2-0 to the the Knights. There were a few nervy moments towards the end of the game but Boom in goal managed the situation well and Dom totally bossed the defence. I cannot go on talking about individual performances as the whole team were superb.
